Mob Spawn Rate Solutions

If you are having issues with low amounts of mobs in your world please follow these common tips!

(FateUHC does not modify spawn rates)

Check #1 - Bukkit.yml

  monsters: 70
  animals: 15
  water-animals: 5
  ambient: 15

The bukkit.yml includes max spawn rates for animals, try upping the "animals" limit. 

  monsters: 70
  animals: 35
  water-animals: 5
  ambient: 15


Check #2 - External Plugins

Many external plugins like TerrainControl, Essentials, etc all can modify spawn rates. Make sure you have configured these correctly so mob spawning is allowed. Note: BGHDDevelopment can not configure external plugins for you, please do not ask. 


Check #3 - Custom Spigot Forks

Many of FateUHC buyers use custom Spigot forks like aSpigot, wSpigot, and others. These spigots can include custom spigot.yml(paper.yml, spigotname.yml, etc) files which include mob spawning settings. Make sure that you configure these to your liking to allow for mobs to spawn at a rate that you want.


Check #4 - Disable Mob Stacking

FateUHC includes a mob stacking feature! If you are getting an error in the console about mob stacking you can try disabling it in the uhcconfiguration.yml. 

  ENABLED: false
    - 'world_nether'
